Great progress there Ben - I'll have to 'get weaving' on mine.  When do you 'break up for Christmas'??

Hi Steve - thanks for the comments. I break up Friday lunch but am heading away for Christmas so there won't be any progress for a few days.

Loving the level of detail you are getting onto this and how good it looks for something so small..

Many thanks for this - hopefully there should be even more detail going into it over the next few weeks :mental:

Looking swish there Ben!

Glad there's a guide for me if Ingetbround to doing this! 👍

Many thanks - been fun this far (mainly as I haven't had to tackle the road wheels yet!)

Many thanks Simon. Weirdly quite enjoy the etch (at least so far!)

Same here mate.....all excited, until you start that bending.......:swear:

I see you have a set from that Polish company PART. I chose their set for the P4 I'm doing. First time, not bad so far but for a few issues in bend lines and lack of thought on their part on gluing box shapes together etc.

Yep - I rather like Part and have a fair few of their sets in the stash.

I find them generally very good. There are occasional issues with fit and some of the bits are silly small, but in my opinion they are pretty good value for money and far more comprehensive than Eduard (when they did 1/72 armour sets).

They also offer a rather diverse selection including sets for kits by some of the less mainstream manufacturers.

I have a couple of their sets for the wirbelwind anti-aircraft tank, of which one replaces the whole turret with one folded from a single piece of etch!!!

All the best

Sadly I might not be able to get any more time on this until after Christmas. Will try tomorrow night but that'll be it then for a week or so.

No worries - thought it might come in useful for your mini panzer army!

Armed with that you now don't need instructions!

Wonderful modelling so far. You have great attention for detail which goes beyond 1/72 modelling! Looking excellent! :worthy:

Kind regards,

Many thanks Stix

Sadly I'm going to have to park this until after Christmas now as rather busy getting things ready.

Nice one, I have this one, together with the IV-J with all the Part upgrades... (fenders, nets, schurtzen, etc...) pretty comprehensive... but certainly worth the money (as these come rather cheap) So I'll be following with interest...

Is it any wonder kids today don't get excited by our hobby???    So Ben - I'm guessing I use the 'tiniest' amount of glue possible to fix the backs to the fronts???

Indeed - I applied it just to the rear wheel on top of the "ridge".

Will try and do the rest later but this is worst part (for me) of any panzer iv build.

All the best
