fubar57
The first aircraft is an Italeri re-box of the Hasegawa kit and the second is the Hasegawa in 1:48. The first aircraft is also my first attempt at mottling. I would love to say the second aircraft was my first attempt at smoke rings but Italeri provided these as decals and if you look closely you can see the spray pattern. Well done Italeri. Dazey
Great job on the finish of those, especially the mottling and the fine green wiggles. Regards, David

Regards, David Thanks David. I would love to take credit for the wiggles but they were decals from the Italeri kit. I was worried about silvering with all the clear in the centers but they performed great. I was also a bit worried about the decals conforming around the filters on the nose but again, excellent performance. Something that can't be noticed in the photos; the placards under the canopy on the left and just over the right wing fillet. They are black with metallic lettering, the best I have ever seen from a stock decal sheet. I would really like to see more of this from other manufacturers, espacially cockpit placards 13 minutes ago, Andwil said: Couple of very smart Macchis. Mark Joyce
Both look great! Your first attempt at mottling is impressive, not to mention your paintwork in general. What scale are the models? Cheers, Mark
Greg Law
Both are very well done. I must do one of these soon as my son inlaw is from an Italian family and they are supportive of my hobby.

I just noticed the tag with 1:48 is hidden so I've amended post #
