Rabbit Leader
She looks even better with the white tipped prop spinners Greg. Master build, well done. Cheers.. Dave

Your 217 looks exactly as you described how your imagination captured this plane. I wish we could see this model more often made. God knows I have one partially made for years, perhaps my oldest hangar queen, all because of some crappy Verlinden flap PE. Your model is a boost to get the mojo back on track I'm glad you liked it. It really isn't a hard model to build. I was surprised how it came together. It felt very solid while I was building it. The only real issue is the fit of the canopy. Also the nose glass needs a bit of attention. All in all it is a great model to build. If I was going to build it again I would open up the Bombay. Greg, I will be happy just seeing it made 🙂 Reckon scratching the bomb bay is a too heavy chorus to an already frozen project, but yes, this plane would look stunning with both bomb bays opened
BerndM
A lovely and neat Dornier. All the efforts are worth the result. She is well presented as well.
bentwaters81tfw
Just noticed this. I bought one at Hornchurch, and if mine turns out this well, I'll be a happy bunny. I will be taking notes. Great build.
Greg Law
Thanks for the comments. This was a really good project other than the canopy fit which resulted in the problems I had at the end, but worth all the effort. Now I'm all excited about the ICM night fighter that will released soon. Not one of my favorites of this family, but I will get it and build to encourage them to make a Do 217K or M which I really want to build. The model isn't as big as you might think. It fits nicely into my cabinet. if you are interested in the new nightfighter have a look a the rumormunger forum. BerndM
I will have a look for this ICM kit. It was also a good idea to build a standart Do 217 bomber instead of the guided bomb carrier because there were changes in the nose glazing. I have build a night bomber of the 217 some years back which needs now a little refurbishing and have another one in the stash to go. Maybe a good base to turn it in your mentioned K and M types. Greg Law
The standard monogram/Revell kit had an add on kit made for it that turned it into a Do 217k or M. But it is impossible to find now. We will just have to see what The future brings. A lot depends on how they design the fuselage moulds.
