Hi All!

Just a very quick question regarding the markings supplied with the Trumpeter 1/24 Ju 87A Stuka. Are the upper wing crosses correct? They look like late war versions to me, but my references are a bit thin in this area.

They look like this...

Thanks in advance!

You're correct, the upper wings and fuselage crosses are of the late war type. An important mistake by Trumpeter, and one that wasn't brought up on all the reviews of this model I read.

Thanks for the reply! I thought it was wrong, but not having much in the way of references for the Anton, I wanted to make sure that it wasn't some accurate anomaly seen on this type. I shall make sure the right crosses are applied. Thanks for pointing out the fuselage crosses too. I failed to pick up on those, but I can see they are wrong also. Naughty Trumpeter!

You're right though, I don't recall seeing this mentioned in the reviews.

Best regards;

I've just been thinking about that. Even in 1/24, the upper wing and fuselage crosses are not that large. I'm wondering if there are an 1/32, or even 1/48 generic sheets that may have something close. If not, it will have to be a mask and spray job. Not sure if Montex have anything for this kit yet. Time to go window shopping!

Except OOB, never trust Trumpeter/Copyboss or some else brands' "painting & marking" ....They just look for a colour drawing and print decals, or worse, they design whole kit at will.

Whether it is correct? Who cares?

Anyone remember Mr.Song and his "state of art" 1/32nd Su-25? Or MiG-25 under Kitty(Sh**ty) Hawk label?
