corsaircorp
Hello Dears ! That's not the most original kit.. Since I saw a lot of these builds here on BM I'll try to do as best as you Gents ! So the title is just about an old joke... That date from 1982... At this time, I was living in Africa... Then my family name is Falk, so when the British expeditionary forces go there and retook the Falklands… I must say that the spelling of my family name has been altered through the years…. But originally (1756) it was Falck ! Okay ! Back to the project ! I will do her OOB..... Nooo forget it !! It's a joke !! I already have this PE and the interior one !! Let's see what it will give !! Sincerely. CC
Christer A
For a moment I though that you WERE going to do it OOB But you dodged that one magnificently! This should be a lot of fun though.
Matt_
Watching this. My next build will be this kit with the Big Ed set.
Bigdave22014
I built this one very soon after its release as 001. I got the boxing with the free deck tractor. I can't remember if there were any issues though.... Sorry. I do know I enjoyed the build though if it helps.
rob Lyttle
Ok CC, I'll follow along to see what I can see.... I picked up the Tamiya kit ages ago, thinking I'd be modelling with the Big Boys.... only to find it's an "ordinary" box of plastic, and not Magic at all!! All the fuss about Tamiya... Pfff... So your efforts might give me some ideas and inspiration to make something with it! (I think you should go there, and tell them you are the King of the Falk Lands. 😎) 1

rob Lyttle
Well, you couldn't expect to build one just out of the box.... It's just a cardboard box, for goodness sake. He'll have to use the plastic bits as well, I expect... 1
RJ-WobblyHands
Nothing like a good Harrier build ... though mine followed the 'I cannot say how many parts are in the kit but I counted them all out and counted them all back' (Sorry for the bad Brian Hanrahan quote) to be built at some point in the future. I will be watching and getting inspiration 1

Bigdave22014
Just remembered somethings... Don't leave the thrust nozzles (on the side of the body) off and try and fit them afterwards. If you do they will fight back and prove almost impossible to get in. I had to do a fair bit of retroactive surgery to get mine in. There is a panel at the rear of the tail with a small grill in it. I seem to recall this panel is moulded backwards (the grill is at the wrong end). Be careful of the fit for the air intakes. I recall i had to do a bit of surgery and dry-fitting to get them to fit nicely. And they have only moulded one side of the doppler(?) radar panel under the nose. I've found the build by @Pappy and can thoroughly recommend having a look through as he addresses all these issues (and more).
Col.
Due to the Harrier in general and Sea Harrier in particular being my all-time favourite aircraft I've amassed a considerable library of reference books and magazines on them so if there's anything you need to know or see a photograph of I'll try to help.

Whilst very similar to the Mk.10H, there are a few differences that are worthy of note. Those tubes on the side of the parachute box and he holes in the head pad are for the Tornado's canopy demist system - Sea Harrier's system is based around tubes around the canopy frame. The left forward edge of the pan is chamfered in the 10H (I think to provide more clearance for the nozzle lever) and I *think* (top of my head - haven't checked) that the services connector is positioned a little higher in the Harrier. Key point being: don't go adding or moving bits on your resin seat to make it look like the photo. Kirk

I will not use resin seat on this build, but will try to improve the plastic one, just for the fun of it Now if you have a pic of the right Harrier seat, that will be great too !! Sincerely. bbudde
Hello CC I will look at this one. Always liked the (Hawker) Harrier. Saw them flying around here in the 70-80th. I guess they came from Gütersloh or so for their trainings over the Sauerland. The Kintec seems to be a good one. For te seat this site could be of interest: http://www.ejectionsite.com/ http://www.ejectionsite.com/frame_sg.htm Cheers Ps: Good luck with your left hip!
