Dereknf
My two latest builds, built simultaneously. This is the newish Revell 1/48 version. Interesting kit, very overengineered in places but very detailed. The 56Sqn aircraft was fitted with the flaps and slats deployed. This means fixing the wings in place. The black one is supposed have the wings (and pylons) moveable but the paint finish has stopped all that. Some aspects weren't so good. The intake fit and taliplane fit wasn't good and some instructions were a bit vague. Some parts were so small I struggled to pick them up, that's if the carpet monster didn't claim them first. Both using Xtradecal decal sheets. Firstly ZG757 finished in black in the 43Sqn anniversary markings from 2006. 1. 2. 3. 4. Secondly this one finished as one of the 56sqn display jets in 2005. 1. 2. 3. 4.

R A Ferguson
Another excellent job, I was lucky enough to see the real 43 Sqn. black one before it was "confined" to the HAS. The 56[R] Sqn. was also a regular sighting as well

Duncan B
Nice work Derek, I have tucked one of these away for a rainy day (more like a rainy year!) until I work up the courage to tackle it as I'm still a beginner when it comes to anything bigger than a 1/72 Bf109. Redstaff
Nice builds, well done I've got the Revell F3 and GR4 in the stash awaiting an appropriate moment and the Airfix GR4, (but that will probably stay there forever 🤔 ) Just need to sort a GR1 in Gulf war colours Only thing I would do is give them both a light weathering wash to take a bit of the shininess off, but weathering is a personal choice, some like factory fresh, some like light weathering and some like heavy weathering. None of them are right or wrong, it's just each to their own taste
exdraken
Very nice work! Pity the black jet's wings are not workable... did it just glue due to paint? Or is there an engineering issue? Edited December 5, 2018 by exdraken
Dereknf
I'm not sure to be honest. I don't want to force them as the engineering is a bit complex as it allows the pylons to move as well. Gentle persuasion maybe.
