tony.t
Looking forwards to this and seeing something other than the perennial 1/32 Devastator and twin seat Hun. Scope for some fantasy: 1/32 SAAB Draken J35 series, MiG-23UB, scaled-up Su-9/11 Fishpot plus all-new Su-15 Flagon trio. Sadly, the liklihoodometer indicates a probability of about 3% of one of those four kits happening, Tony

Parrahs
Seems they left the 1/700 ships out as well. I wonder if the HMS Belfast will still be labelled as new.
Dudikoff
Hmm, could have sworn I've seen a mention of an upcoming Trumpeter Ticonderoga in 1/350, but there's nothing in the catalog.. And HB releases modern ships in 1/700 only so far. Perhaps it will go under the Merit brand (like the Kitty-Hawk class carriers, Wasp class LHD's, etc.)? It's cool they're releasing the 1S91 and P-40 radars, but it's crazy how they're releasing all of the S-300V launcher vehicle variants plus the engagement radar (with only the EWR, the acquisition radar and CP vehicles missing). Schweinebacke
Hello As someone who is interested mainly in ships and also aircraft it's somewhat frustrating to see that many manufacturers(Riich,Meng, Trumpeter, HobbyBoss,,Dragon) who started out releasing beautiful ship and aircraft models are now completely switching to tanks and more tanks. Dudikoff
1/48 J-20.. Finally. But, that's the prototype, I presume.. It's nice HB are doing a 1/48 U-2 and hopefully that one will end up better than what AFV Club did with theirs. But, on the whole, both Trumpy and HB are not having many new releases compared to the last two years, most of the new stuff is in the military vehicles category. Tom I suppose tanks offer the best profit margin overall, with something like the t-72 you can make 1 basic chassis tooling then offer all the different turret and armour variations to squeeze out many version from 1 basic tooling, much harder to do with tanks and ships , the strange thing with the tanks is despite making numerous versions from the same tooling tanks seem to be the least competitively priced, you would think they would be a little cheaper because of the same root tooling for many different kits . From the drawing, J-20 inlets have downward angle so not the very early prototypes. we will see. I am ok with the prototype too though.
