drake122
I definitely hope it's more detailed than their Su-33 since that kit doesn't exist!

Uncle Uncool
Has anybody got the Kitty Hawk and Great Wall Hobby 1/48 Su-35 kits to check which one's got the best shape with regard to the double curvature on the LERX and the rounded profile around and below the cockpit in the forward fuselage? These are the issues - among other ones - that puts me off buying the Hobby Boss Flanker B kit. How is the shape compared between the Kitty Hawk and Great Wall Hobby Su-35 kits like? Cheers, Unc2
ya-gabor
Is there another Su-35 kit on the market??? I only have the G.W.H kit. Here is the double curvature S curve on its side. In design phase attention was paid to this feature of the real aircraft. But what has it to do with the new Su-27 kit??? Best regards Gabor
Uncle Uncool
Hi Gabor, Thanks for the piccies. Well, I'd say that the double curvature on the GWH kit looks just like that on the Kitty Hawk kit then. 5 hours ago, ya-gabor said: But what has it to do with the new Su-27 kit??? I'm quite sure much of the forthcoming Kitty Hawk Su-27 kit will be based on their previous kit, and this feature is what matters me the most in comparison with the non-existent curvature on the Hobby Boss kit. Of course they will have to add the airbrake on the spine among other features. I've ordered the Kitty Hawk Su-35 kit upper and lower fuselage halves in order to kitbash it with the Hobby Boss kit, and so far I was able to see that the kitbashing is possible in order to endow the latter kit with the features correctly engineered in the former. Tried to order the Great Wall Hobby kit fuselage halves as well, but their customer service asked $79 for the shipping of just those parts... Hey, perhaps I could get both fuselage halves for the GWH Su-35 kit through you, Gabor? Cheers, Unc2 Edited December 4, 2018 by Uncle Uncool Gabor will help me out with the fuselage halves
ya-gabor
Sorry I only have my own kits (both are in build) and have absolutely no contact with G.W.H anymore. It was a one-off project for me. Have no idea what they are doing and dont really care either. Best regards Gabor

Yeh, granted, but your asking GWH for some replacement fuselage halves for their 1/48 Su-35 kit would be as easy as if I asked Aconcagua Resin Models, AeroCalcas Argentinas or Condor Decals to hand me a free sample for you. What's your pick? Cheers, Unc2
