Folkbox1
I'm after some 144th pilot figures for placing in cockpits so I can have them flying (seems a bit silly to have the planes "flying" without pilots. I've not found much on the web - closest seemed to be 3d printed but they wanted silly money for postage and packing. Not bothered what nationality they claim to be as I don't think there'll be any noticeable difference when placed in enclosed cockpits. All suggestions gratefully received 🙂 Darren
thorfinn
Ozmods does some [marked as Russian, but as you said, at that scale, who could tell?]: http://www.ozmods-kits.com/conversions-upgrades-accessories-1144 Cheers
Ossington 2
How about searching under "N Gauge seated figures" I doubt if you will find anything wearing a helmet or bonedome but you never know. The pre-painted ones are dear and best avoided but I image something should suit from our railway layout brethren. A daub of paint should do to 'de-civilianise' them. JamesP
Aeroclub released 1/144 whitemetal cold-war pilots with IIRC Mk4 MB ejection seats many moons ago. They occasionally pop up on ebay,
Tomppa B
Fox one has a set of modern seated jet pilots in 1/144.
Truro Model Builder
Another vote for the N-gauge seated passengers here. I've used them a couple of times. The detail is so small that once they've had some paint they will be fine.
Folkbox1
Thanks chaps, I'll certainly look in to your suggestions - escpecially the N scale figures as I have a major model railway shop only 10 minute walk away:-)
bootneck
Check out these seated and standing pilots, and ground crew, at Heroes Models. The Tornado fuselage with detailed cockpit and opened avionics bays is also worth a look. Heroes Models is based in Italy. Mike
