I understand what you're saying which is why I keep taking a break on MGB658. It's either that or try and rush things . . . never a good idea.

 

I  trust you are going to post a 'Work in Progress' pics on here of your build.

Love to know the story of the keep on the foredeck. As to the 'wind deflector' I believe the bridge crew did not what their hair messed up 😉

I can't see any other purpose for it.

I would also like to know the story behind this jeep but unfortunately my extensive google search remained fruitless. Perhaps I will try to get some info about the vehicle on the ptboat forum, though I doubt any one knows . Unfortunately,  the pic isn't clear enough to make out the registration number on the bonnet. The jeep was probably issued to PT squadron 35 but alternatively it might even have belonged to the US Coast Guard.

I did get an answer on the PTboat forum after all. The photo was made in Portsmouth and the Jeep was taken to Cherbourg for transportation purposes. Merry Christmas and best wishes !
