Courageous
Here is my recently completed Astute Class Submarine using the 1/350 HobbyBoss kit. Pretty straight forward kit that's almost 'toy like'. Went together with no real problems and painted using mainly Halfords Satin Black from a can, kit decals were used and are I based on the earliest boats when I trial. Mounted on usual base and a few figures from Tamiya were added for scale. WiP: Stuart Edited November 20, 2018 by Courageous 11

robgizlu
Agree with all of the above - Very nicely finished and presented and those figures do add the perspective Big Old thing!!! Rob
Courageous
Cheers guys. You guys like my basing but I'm not that struck on it myself. I would like to put these onto a sea base but submarines being what they are, 2/3rds would be below water. Stuart
Terry1954
Cracking job there Stuart, really looks the biz. Fully understand your comments re base vs sea scape, but this way really shows what a giant beast of a boat the Astute really is. Enormous, and those two sailors on the front decking really show that to good effect. Terry
Roger Newsome
That turned out great Stuart. I like the base, it shows of the model very well and as already mentioned the addition of the figures was an excellent idea.
