Here's more information on the accident. He was well-known for giving approximately 175 rides to WW2 veterans over the years. A real shame to lose two wonderful people and a beautifully restored Mustang.

I almost went to that show on the same weekend. My history professor was offering extra credit for attending. A bit too far for me for what is was worth. RIP the two guys and the plane.
