Hint: Looks like AK 05090 which was in the static display at the Australian International Airshow last weekend is one of the decal choices in this kit, although in an earlier form. Might have to build one of these myself. AW
Spookytooth
Thanks @giemme, @Andwil, and @The Spadgent, back to it and I might well do that version. Well update. EJP`s fill and sanded on the inlets. The main U/Cs had a splash of silver added. The nose wheel gear next, parts below. All cleaned up now, and the nose wheel in place. Leave to set before adding the brace bits and a pair of lamps to it. Well time for a cuppa I think. All comments welcome . Simon.

Spookytooth
Thanks @bbudde, I am back at the bench again, feeling good. Well, another update, while I have the time. Nosewheel gear done, apart from the lights, clear bit to be painted later. OK, the main wheels and drop tanks received attention next. Cleaned up and then the tanks had a hole drilled on the underside to which a piece of plastic rod was fixed (Easier to hold while painting) Not much to prep now, so will have a cuppa. All comments welcome. Simon.
Spookytooth
OK, final update for now. The exhaust petals ? Oh dear some gaps there.. Filler.. Sand off. A final polish there. Also masked up the pit area. There is not a lot left to do now until I get some spraying done by the looks of it. So I now wait for a decent weather window. Off for a curry now. Home made Chicken Rogan and Rice. All comments welcome. Simon.

Yes Simon, the weather is mmhh not grand at the moment. As my mojo went down for restoring anything now, I started my spring clean on my windows two weeks ago on a nice sunny week. Now indoors and it became intense as I like cooking also. Something that was fun somehow to see, how much dirt one year can put on everything with traffic on a main street, smoking and cooking. And kitchen grease is really the pest on everything that is there. No chance to get it away with a usual cleaner like Fairy ultra or so. So oven cleaner came into action first and worked instantly and well. Cheers from a now more ore less cleaned flat. Cheers Edited March 10, 2019 by bbudde

Spookytooth
Window Cleaning @bbudde. I did that for a living when I first left school back in `77. We live in a fifth floor flat facing Northwards so thats fun. The windows are Tilt/Turn type so easily done. But we live in the city centre so they don`t stay clean for long. As for grease, try lemon juice, may do the trick. Simon 1

Will try it for sure; read about this, but I wanted to go for sure this time. All my tools used not so often suffered from that greasy coating The oven spray uses surfactiants (Tenside), that give you a strong undefinable salty burning smell on your tongue, that couldn't be healthy for a usual use. Just like getting some sort of washing powder in your mouth. Every natural thing, that do that is much appreciated. And of course a thing is to stop smoking, but that's another story. For the windows: Not my favourite thing at all, but ground flloor, so it has to be done, if I can't stand that anymore and my flowers want more sun. Although my privacy shouldn't be violated too much for that . Cheers Benedikt Edited March 10, 2019 by bbudde
Spookytooth
The advantages of facing Northwards @bbudde, is that the South facing flats are like ovens during the summer months. Our flats are well insulated so it`s warm all year a round. Simon.

Lived once as a student on the other side at the roof flat here of a 4 story house and it was a pain in summer. The sun was merciless under the top of the roof even in the 90'. So, glad not to be on the wrong side of the sun by now. Edited March 10, 2019 by bbudde
Spookytooth
OK folks a quick update. The weapons bays were dry fitted, to check for clean bonding areas. The exhaust petals were finished, ready for priming. Disaster !!!!!!! I decided to round up all the parts before spraying starts. And I find out that I have 2 pieces missing (Presume to the carpet monster). The IP and the throttle levers. Parts 8 and 6 respectively. Fun.... Well at least I have a pic of it and the decals to work with. 137, 139, 145, and 143. So, some when I will have sharpen up my best crayons and sketch some plans out. At least I have got the plastic in stock. Catch up later in the week. All comments welcome. Simon.
The Spadgent
Looking good Simon. The whole IP? Blimey that’s impressive, your carpet monster is a real beast! 😈 your attitude though is admirable and I look forward to your wonderful scratch work. All the best. bbudde
Dito as above, but ok you can prove now, that you are better than Revell on their maybe "medicore" parts for a nice and convincing result for you. Cheers

One of the best solution here is to use a cleaners with an Ammonia. Not the best smell and the kitchen area needs to be ventilated, but it's removes all the smoke (tar) stains.
