kpnuts
Looks like a good layout. I've started weathering it, in the dio it's going to be one in the process of being restored. I feel I need to add some more rust but I'm not really wanting it to look really neglected I have a prairie in mind for that I feel at the moment it's not looking very realistic I'm wondering if that's just because it's not in a proper setting.
bar side
Nice pic of a Bullied Pacific at Barry, but still relatively complete. One thing is for sure - the name plates would have gone

kpnuts
Very sad photo, at least with the massage there is a glimmer of hope.
bar side
That is 249 Squadron and she survived, although these days she seems to look more like her already stripped sister on the left. That one is a Bullied Pacific too.
Redstaff
I agree with @bar side that the name plates and smokebox plates would have been removed as would all of the copper and brass out of the cab and they would have been stored away out of reach of "collectors and pikeys" Also the rods would have probably been taken off and stored safely. The buffers on the front would have been in place as well as you can't take them out without removing the castings fixed to the buffer plank, they would have been very rusty as well usually. I'll follow this with interest as I'm involved with restoration of 12" to the foot scale locos along with driving and firing of them Cracking idea for a subject though, you've got me thinking Ian

bentwaters81tfw
The cabside window frames on Bullied Pacifics are wood, and are often removed completely, as seen in that photo.
