Sabrejet
Finished it - after a short (for me) WIP: the Matchbox kit plus Small Stuff resin engine + Starfighter Decals: And this chap muscled in too: prospective pilot maybe? Not sure if he's a Gnat T.1 or a Mosquito B.35. 64

stevehnz
Lovely job on that. It's a real "l want one now" sort of build. Steve.

Tomoshenko
Lovely piece of work. Good techniques on display. Nice, as ever, to see the old Matchbox kits given a makeover. Be nice to see it at a show sometime.
Toryu
You really made the best out of this kit and the small scale. Great! I'm working on the 1/48 Classic Airframes - nearly every part needs to be modified/improved ... ouff
Courageous
Excellent work, just shows what can be achieved with these kits in such a short time. Stuart

It's a long list mind.

Artie
There must be something about those old kits that, whenever I see one of them so beautifully built as yours, makes my heart go faster...

I am impressed! Sure wish Matchbox had done more biplanes, as they were by far their best models, I think. With very little extra detailing they can more than hold their own with newer kits! I really, really like this one, SJ! Mike
rob Lyttle
Great result and an inspiration of a build. Lovely bit of rigging too, and the tyres nicely settled on to the ground. Old kits can really deliver!
VT Red Sox Fan
Really enjoyed this--some of these older kits build up really well & you made it happen
Spitfire31
Great looking P-12! Those Matchbox biplanes are in a class by themselves… Kind regards, Joachim
k5054nz
Beautiful work! I especially love the rigging: I doubt I'm brave enough to attempt double landing and flying wires in 1/48 let alone 1/72. Bravo.

I think they'd easily stand a reissue with new decals. And if the aftermarket did a cockpit update that would help too, but in fairness you can't see much of it! Glad you have all liked it - your kind words are much appreciated.
Smithy
Fantastic build and looks superb! But really you could have done a better job on the gnat, the legs are all wonky and there's definitely some silvering on the wings there
Jure Miljevic
Great model, Sabrejet. It could easily pass as 1/48 scale. I have one of these fine old Matchbox kits half done, and its number on escape list from Stalag of doom has just decreased significantly. Cheers Jure
