Do not be too impressed Terry, it is a long winded and unforgiving game and I am only half way round

P1010002.jpg

I took about twenty pictures of this and the H-19 but the crapulous file system architecture WIN 10 imposes on me has lost most of them along with some good ones I hoped to share with you all

I HATE WINDOWS 10

XP wasnt broken

Win 7 worked

Why WIN 10?

Serves no useful purpose for me...

All those lost and wasted photos    :(

I feel (and share) your pain.... I postponed the upgrade from Win7 to Win10 as much as I could on my home PC, but I'm still working with Win 7 Pro on my office workstation ... holding fast!

Ciao

Thank the lord for mobile phones that have Postimage as an ap in them

I spent fruitless hours trying to open the pictures I took yesterday, of the Sea King's pilot's seats

Airfix give you a pair of stately thrones which are taller than they ought to be and with a thick base that looks as if it grows out of the plastic of the cockpit floor

A few saw strokes and a little work with thin polycard soon gives us

Take the saw along each edge to represent the tubular frames that the seat cushions are supported in and a pair oof triangles for each seat to represent the bracing brackets holding them still (they are flat pieces of metal with an infill cover of triangular canvas according to most photos I have seen)

In three admittedly poor photos I can show what I could not get even close to in the Win10 file system

Grr

I am getting on with the pax seating too with the legs all the same(ish) height ready for brush painting

laters ...

Thank you Giorgio, not quite as neat now

First attempt at Sea king seats for commercial use

Sea Grey frames, Green backrest and sheepskin seat cushions awaiting faded blue/grey/violet-ish straps I am mixing up for hopefully realistic contrast

The seat cushion is a mix of talcum powder and RAL9001 Weiss which is a very creamy colour normally

The edges between the green backrest and the cushion will be made straight before the seats go into service, promise

I went shopping on Monday

Yesterday had a late Easter it's true

15574103271015930372688415172492.jpg

But there was also a taste of Christmas in the air

Or on the doorstep

15574752634445180387694413276865.jpg

I needed them for the window cutaways on the Queen of the skies, and just because some tools are an essential

like these

and also (It was quite a minispree)

Future planning

And not to let the Queen Of The Skies feel left out

Essential grilleworks

And stuff...

I may be able to make modelling part of my later day

Photography is now available

So here's a picture of the Pilot's seats ready to get set

P1010038.jpg

So many seating choices for the S-61N I just took a punt with modified Airfix Thrones

Seen here on a donor model in need of being a sacrifice

P1010042.jpg

Pass me my tin helmet somebody, a certain amount of incoming could be expected here huh...

Small but positive increments huh?

P1010045.jpg

Difficult to see in there isnt it, lets light it up a tadlet

Too bright now?

P1010047.jpg

Still useless, might have been better not to get the pictures back

:(

Oh well how''s this?

P1010049.jpg

Seating arrangement is now settled

Not that I expect to see them once the cabin is closed up

Right, back to the windows

It'll be a while...

Not envious of what you are doing right now, but I reckon it's a labour of love :worthy:

'Ah windows' picture in post #94 is showing a nasty 'image not found' message; is it just me?

Yes I see that also Ced.
