Continuing the 1950's trainers theme, Hi-Decal will release in early 2019  two decal sheets covering the legendary T-6G Texan, in both 1/72nd and 1/48th scales. It is also possible that a 1/32nd version will be done if there is enough interest.

HD72061 &  HD48031 - T-6G/LT-6G Texan

Currently, we plan to include markings for five really colorful birds that have never been previously available in decal form:

Imperial Iranian Air Force:

             - a yellow and red T-6G target tug,

             - an armed NMF LT-6G ,
South Vietnamese Air Force:

             - a yellow T-6G of the 1st/514th Fighter Squadron VNAF, in 1963,
Royal Hellenic Air Force:

             - an armed LT-6G with "NATO" black-green and grey camouflage, in 1965,

Royal Moroccan Air Force:

             - an armed T-6G in sand over light blue scheme during the early 1970s.

No news about the IRIAF Mirage F1 sheet announced few years ago ? 😕

Well, the Mirage project has been put on ice, as Berna released a sheet covering several IRIAF options, but an F-1EQ (Iran & Iraq) sheet will be surely released in the future.

After the announcement of a new Airfix Hawker Hunter F.Mk.4, I decided to modify a bit the contents of our upcoming Hunter sheet and include markings for a Peruvian Air Force F.Mk 52 Hunter (F.4 standard)  with colorful tail flash and beautiful squadron insignia, never previously available in decal form. The description of the contents has therefore been updated accordingly.

I hope you will like :)

Do you maybe have plans to "update" MiG-17F Fresco-C decals, just for a new Airfix kit?

Well, now it's a bit too early to say how Airfix MiG-17F will look exactly, but if the form is correct, then our MiG-17F decals (Poland, Egypt, Angola, Israel)  should work without problems on this Fresco too... and also our MiG-17 Fresco A sheet  (USSR, Mongolia, Afghanistan, Iraq, GDR) can be used without trouble - here you can simply adapt the exhaust without afterburner from the Dragon/Zvezda offering.

Thank you for explanation.

About Fresco-A, I assume that Airfix will release MiG-17 in that variant later, because releasing slightly different variant seems to be  their policy these days.

Many thanks!

Indeed, J-702 has small insignia, J-703 even smaller ones and J-718 does not have any wing markings.

And, your're right, (J-)734  in her last scheme should have pale grey wing insignia and codes.

Cordiales saludos

Hi Wez,

It seems indeed that a second Hunter sheet will be needed, RDAF Hunters ( both camo and green schemes) being a very good idea :)

Jens

Hello Jens,

Many thanks for your kind offer

I'm lucky to have a full documentation of the RDAF Hunters in both schemes, including stenciling  etc. , this making life a bit easier.

Anyway, I will surely need to bother you a bit , as there will surely be some additional questions that will appear during the preparation of the artwork.

One thing I am now thinking about is that Stoppel has already made decals for both Hunter schemes in 1/72 scale and will surely make another sheet in 1/48 scale after the release of the Airfix F.4. - and I would like to avoid to do the same stuff...

Greetings

Diego
