Ran
Quick look - after removing the masks. This will only require some minor touch ups and looks good enough from far enough Ran
Ran
Just a quick update Painting the 2nd patches turned out to be a mixed experience. It's the first time I do something like that (masking that late, complex shape and one drawn from the instructions) and I was happy The results on the other hand - sucked and the kit became a 9 feeter. There is a reason why I did not put here closer pictures This completely zeroed my mojo for this build. I pushed forward with decaling, adding all the small items and some additional detail (darn 'one true scale'). Here's a spoiler for the completed build - I will add some more details and photos later this week. Edited January 2, 2019 by Ran
Ran
Well, "I will add more details and photos later this week" turned out to be ..... NOT SO TRUE. It's been almost 4 month @#$@#$@#$ I have several excuses - like the Azur Vautour and the rescue scratch job on the Hasegawa 1/48 Typhoon and the fact that the new photo booth was sitting in the man cave waiting to be opened for a long while. But these are just excuses. So, as I christened the photo booth with the Vautour, here comes the Sea King !!! I will point out that I'm proud of the rails I made for the cabin steps, the map in the cockpit windshield, and most of the paint work. That's it - DONE. I had a lot of fun scratch building all sort of stuff in this build. 1/72 is a nightmare for my eyesight and thumbs Helicopters ARE different.
