Courageous
Here is my recently completed RAF ASR Launch, WiP here: The build was started by using the Airfix 1/72 offering and built basically OOB with a couple of tweaks along the way. Completed using Humbrol enamels, kits decals and Uschi(fine) for the rigging and aerials. I decided to place the launch in a harbour setting with a wooden floating jetty, water (of course) and possibly some RAF figures. And here we have the finished product of the RAF ASRL moored in some English Channel port , 1941. Over to you for C & C. Stuart

robgizlu
Great boat build but more importantly great scene production- love the jetty, love the water - takes it to another level!! Yes! Rob
longshanks
I reckon you've done a cracking job of this scene Stuart. One tiny critique the vertical element of your jetty is dominating rather than complimenting the scene, only my opinion Kev 1
ejboyd5
Wait for the tide to rise and the spiles will appear shorter. 1

TheBaron
Damn fine piece of work in colour and structure Stuart. The light really seems to enjoy catching that.
Courageous
Thanks Baron. As depicted, she does look bright but it was their undoing as they were a very visible target. As a result, its 'visibilty' was drastically reduced, its rmament went up and we'll hopefully see this transition in the next launch I build. general melchett
Lovely job Stuart, she really looks the part, great little scene. Funnily enough my father's best friend George, now 96, served aboard 134 and while he's not prepared to go into too much personal detail, understandable as he lost several good crewmates and witnessed some pretty harrowing things, I'm trying to get enough info together to write a piece for AMW using the Airfix kit as a starting point. Very inspirational stuff...
