John Masters
Here it is...I'm happy with it although I have built better kits. The kit itself is oddly designed. The hard points are set up for the modeller to measure and figure out where to place them, etc...the canopy is wonky and fits poorly...however, it is the best in 1/72nd scale so far, or so I believe. Decals were ok, if a little fragile. No need for any solvents or soaps. I kept the weathering to a minimum and just did a little exhaust staining. Next up...something from this big box...😁 --John

John Masters
Thanks guys. It certainly is a robust looking bird. Much more so than her Spitfire cousins.
RidgeRunner
It's not the prettiest, as you say, but your build is sublime. Nice one, John. Maryin

Learstang
Excellent job on that FR.47! I have this very kit, in a semi-advanced state of build. I know it has a few problems (the kit), but it also has some very nice detailing, and she certainly looks the part when built up. John Masters
Thanks Jason. You know, the nay-sayers alerted me to all sorts of issues that this kit had, most of which would be solved easily by a month or so of re-engineering and scratch building. My experience with the kit is that it built up pretty easily and, in the end, looked just like a Seafire of that era. So I was happy building it OOB. I think you will be too!
