Can anyone provide a link to photos of Czech LB-79s white 32 and white 34 during the 1949-1950 period? I have one blurry shot of the rear fuselage of white 34 but nothing else. Many thanks for any information about Czech use of these He-219–I know one was a test bed but then wondering why they used them for night fighter work when better alternatives such as the MiG-15 and MiG-17 were just coming into service??  Thank you in advance for any photos or information.

No photos but artwork rpt artwork of an LB-79 in the old Arco-Aircam Aviation Series No 30 Czechoslovakian Air Force 1918-1970.  Standard dark green/pale bluish grey colors.  White outlined national marking on fin and wing underside.  White 34 in a flowing script about halfway along the fuselage.  Caption reads: "LB-79 (Heinkel He 219).  One of two He 219s flown by the Aviation Research Institute, Prague.  All radar removed."

NB Photographic confirmation of some artwork in these old Aircams has proved very elusive.
