perdu
Can anyone advise me whether there have been transfer sheets (OK decal sheets) with large numbers of the general square type access panels used on many British aircraft? I know there are different styles according to which aircraft one is modelling but many of them are the familiar red square with either white centres or left open for the underlying paint to carry across It seem the kind of thing Almarks might have made back in the day so I wonder if I could have but missed, getting any Looks as if I will be modifying some old military vehicle plate infantry squares decals I do have, (T13 from Almarks) by whipping out the centres
Antti_K
Good morning perdu, I bought a decal sheet for my 1/48 scale Canberra. The sheet included numerous "Fire Access" panel markings of different styles (with and without white center). The same sheet contains various "Ejection seat triangles", first aid kit and service markings. More detailed information available here: https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/ML489018 Kind Regards, Antti

perdu
Oh dammit The last time I looked was maybe Tuesday and I would swear there was a suitable sheet destined for Canberras in 72nd scale with several varieties of Fire panels Now there is no sign of one and I am wondering if I imagined it Sorry bzn20 I am off to search the smaller decal manufacturer sites, there really must be some somewhere it cant be such a weird requirement

It's trying to bolt down a supplier of minor details that are probably not required by the majority. ( not much money in it ) These details, when you've finished and squint at the model , give a nice warm feeling inside . Nobody else would know if the 2 door sprung extinguisher access panel was missing or even there in the first place...
perdu
That is so very true, as we found out years ago probably Back then in the days of excitement and adventure and Alan Hall, I looked to my favourite after market transfers makers to fill the gaps Such as Almarks and Modeldecals And look what I have in my elderly decal hoard Almarks Infantry Vehicle markings sheet resplendent with red Infantry square markings and some slightly smaller white square outlines I bet you can tell where a couple of these are going to end up, if I cant find the real deal 'out there' The red squares look very close to right against a model's flanks
At Sea
@perdu What scale do you need? I have some spare 48th ones from British Phantoms. Could probably spare 4.

Hi not to worry, I prefer 1/72 scale but as things stand I am not in dire need anyway I was hoping to find some of those panels in order to have them for the detailing of some of those models that have them missing from their decal sheets Many of the older models I make have very basic transfer sheets in the kit, fire access panels are often the main visual ones they left off back then Thank you for your kind offer, typical of the generous spirit of so many Britmodellers 1
