Kiwikitbasher
This is Tamiya's 1/72 Ki 61, it's a really nice kit but I feel like I cheated by using the camo decals that can be bought separately for it.
Spitfire31
'Cheating' or not 'cheating' – she's beautiful, just beautiful! And you didn't mention the tame spider that spun the aerials for you… It's the end result that counts, not how you got there. 😉 Kind regards, Joachim
72modeler
Very nice Tony- and those sure don't look like decals! If you hadn't mentioned them, I don't think many, including myself, would have known they weren't airbrushed. Mike
Sandlapper
244th Sentai. The Ki-61 is my favorite Japanese aircrafy of WW2. As a certified Tony fan I give you a doublr thumbs up! Well done!
Kitchen Modeller
It would have been a challenge getting those decals to look so good - it came out fantastic so well done...
Josip
Well, in my book that counts as cheating, but then again, who cares. My friend did the same. It certainly looks very convincing.
Greg Law
Definitely nice decal work. I was about to ask how you painted them because I am about to do that effect on my Zero. I be using an airbrush hopefully.
Meatbox8
Wow! That's a stunner. The 244th didn't hold back on their colour schemes. The camo decals work really well. Not cheating in my book. These things are sent to us to make the hobby more fun. The 'Tony' is a very handsome aircraft and your treatment certainly does it justice.
BerndM
Excellent you really nailed the look of this aircraft.
Smithy
It's such a good looking aeroplane and you've done a great job. I agree with the others, you've done the camo decals beautifully and if you hadn't have said so I would've thought they were painted.
TonyW
In the 'Nothing New Under the Sun Department', here's a full colour scheme decal set for a DH Mosquito. This one dates from the forties!! I very much doubt if this set would look any where near as good as the finish on your model though. 2 1
glatisant
Nothing wrong with that build. A beauty!
kapam
Excellent build, doing justice to what I believe is a very fine kit. As for the decals, your skill in applying them and making them look like paint is definitely not a "cheat" at all. Well done.

opus999
Wow! That's terrific! I would guessed it was airbrushed. Fantastic job!
