Col.
How about a group build for anything with a V-configured engine sometime? Any number of cylinders from two to 12 or even more if there is a model of it. V-twins, V-fours, V-eights, V-twelves. Bikes, cars, boats, aircraft, in fact anything that featured a V-configured engine. American muscles cars, Range Rovers, Ducatis and Bimotas, Yamahas and Hondas, even Harleys if you must, the V-12 Merlin and Griffon engines and the inverted V of Daimler-Benz 600 series, power boats, the Volkswagen VR6 engine... the list will be huge and inclusive. Heck you can even build a Blackburn Beverly if you want to and can find a kit and know why it is eligible 1, Col. 2, Corsairfoxfouruncle 3, Jb65rams 4, Rob G 5, Arniec 6, depressed lemur 7, theplasticsurgeon 8, vppelt68 9, Bill.B 10, Redstaff 11, richellis 12, helios16v 13, 14, Edited November 28, 2018 by Col.
Corsairfoxfouruncle
Hmm ... Im guessing since this is anything V-powered would a PT boat powered by 3 Allison V-12’s be suitable ? Or does the “V” need be a visible part of the build ?

Your PT boat is a perfect subject and no need for the engine to be visible unless you fancy the extra work of course.

Rob G
We've had a radial engines GB, so turn about's fair. Add me to this, although I don't know where I'll be when it kicks off, or even if I'll be in a position to model. Next time around, it'll have to be a flat engine GB...

I'll add you to the list This morning a friend showed me some photos of a Yamaha Virago cruiser bike that had been converted into a café racer A tempting project in model form as well as in full size. Remember gang that aircraft are eligible for this one along with motorcycles, cars, lorries, boats etc. Edited October 30, 2018 by Col.

theplasticsurgeon
Just gone thru my stash. A Ford GT40 with a mighty V8, or a V12 Jaag. A few inverted V German aircraft, guess - and is inverted allowed?backstop A surprise that normally has radials. And absolute backstop, a Spitfire. I'm in. vppelt68
To lure our Panzerschütze along, let's remind them that the Maybach engines powering most, if not all, German tanks since Pz III were of vee-zwölf design. V-P 1

Rob G
You can also do the Ferrari Testarossa and Berlinetta Boxer (among others), which both used a 180° V12, which isn't a boxer engine despite the BB moniker. Not that I will, I'm not a Ferrari fan. Lots of luxury cars too, from Duesenbergs to Bentleys.
Arniec
I have got a 1/24 Lamborgini Countach from Tamiya in my stash. That is my favorite car. So I might build that. Cheers,

Col.
Anyone else want to take advantage of the opportunity for building something with a V-configured engine in it here? Or perhaps just a model of the engine itself? Edited November 21, 2018 by Col.
