Doom3r
Hi, Few month ago I was working on the Academy's F/A-18F and really liked it and wondering if there is anything close in detail and quality for the early versions of Hornet (A or C)? tsepajev
Academy F/A-18A, F/A-18C and F/A-18D models are the best ones.
tempestfan
But watch out as there was an earlier Academy tool originated (?) by Sunny and now probably with Minicraft, which probably qualifies as worst legacy Hornet; that was an A only, so you should be safe with B to D kits. Silverkite
also if you are really into early 18s you need Fujimi drop tanks hoping that they have the correct dimensions Luigi
Phantome
Academy. It's one of those cases where there's absolutely no contest. It is not entirely shake-and-bake though. The nose is a four-piece affair which can be tricky and there are some alignment issues as well. Depending on the variant you may also have to do some removing of bumps and filling of panel lines.
