Procopius

+++ Battle of Britain 80th GB for 2020?

Recommended Posts

Here, at a missing bunker God knows where,

You could drop in, leaving a push-bike propped

Against coarse meadow-sweet and stinging nettles

To find a summer where the bad light stopped

Apologies for my tardiness Edward, I would be up for this, of course. If you become the de facto Group Build Host - which you will - I'd be pleased to be your deputy :)

Cheers,

Stew

... In the sky

no one is walking, everyone

is a sitting duck, he banks and begins to hunt.

He is not afraid of anything now,

not even his coffin- hell, he is half

English oak already, and if he

lost his arms he’d replace them. All he

wants is to bag as many as he can,

stuff them in the Channel like birds in a sack with their

long useless legs trailing out the mouth of it.

Then out spake brave Horatius,
  The Captain of the gate:
“To every man upon this earth
  Death cometh soon or late.
And how can man die better
  Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his gods"

God knows where I've been the last 10 days to have missed this but "Yes please old chap, a splendid idea among  the pantheon of your such notions"

I foresee an Alan Deere Spitfire being built, at least.

I’m in, if I may. Wonder if I can set a reminder on my phone for a year and a half in the future. I usually don’t plan that far ahead...

I only wonder does a Battle of Britain GB at Britmodeller really need a vote at all. As it´s quite obvious there´ll be one, why don´t we let Enzo Dominatrix (🤔) just set the dates already and this thread serve as a place for participants to sign in. Oh and I´m in too, of course. V-P

That’s a good idea V.P, can we set the dates to what one considers to be the ‘period’ of the BoB. Something like July to October-ish?

Cheers.. Dave

Well, Battle of Britain Group Build III took place from 10th July 2015 to 31 October 2015. But it´s not my decision. V-P

ST GEORGE: Here come I, St George, from Britain did I spring,
I’ll fight the Dragon bold, my wonders to begin.
I’ll clip his wings, he shall not fly;
I’ll cut him down, or else I die.

Please count me in Procopius.

Hoping to have my hands on a shiny new Tamiya Spitfire by then which I plan on building as Geoffrey Wellum's aircraft.
