willciviceg5 Posted October 21, 2018 Share Posted October 21, 2018 (edited) So I haven’t posted here in a while but this is a bit of a celebration as I have been building this for 5 years. I purchased this from eBay as a built model and it arrived worse than I could imagine, it was a complete glue bomb, the body had been brush painted with the thickest enamel I have ever seen, the interior and whole drivetrain was painted thick black. I broke it all apart and put the body and interior in brake fluid for about 6 months! And it still didn’t shift anything! Discouraged I put it back in the box for about 2 years until I discovered dettol, 24 hours later I had a clean body. I had to paint the engine and interior around the decals but they turned out ok I think. I am mid way through an Fujimi Enthusiast Countach and that is very difficult but this was easy by comparison. Everything fit together well with no big gaps, suspension fit really well and didn’t need any modification to sit the way it is. pockets Posted February 22, 2020 Share Posted February 22, 2020 (edited) I did here that the porsche ones are a tad difficult, something about a lot of dry fitting of parts and sequence of fitting the body , Ive aquired 3 diff version of the kit . the 69 911r , the 73rs and the Martini racer, they look great kits without any flash and good detail , i mistakenly got a revell version of the rs and it had a whloe sprue missing and its an awfull kit .
