Stefanoff
Hello friends! I'm new in the forum and I like to present to you one of my latest works - Revell's P-47D. I did some scratch work like the formation lights and traffic lights, just a very small accents. The trigger for building of this model were the excellent decals from Kits-world. I just love pin-ups! Hope you will like my work. Edited October 20, 2018 by Stefanoff
dogsbody
Dang, Son! That is some fine work there. The painting is excellent and the weathering is spot on. This could be easily taken for a much larger kit. Well done! Oh! Welcome to the forum. You definitely have a place here. Chris
Michael51
A superb paint finish and weathering. Admirable work, MIchael
Stefanoff
Thank you guys! I'm glad you like it! I forgot to mention - the bombs are from Eduard, they are just excellent, I love them. I also add the glass of the gunsight, everything else is from the box. The weathering is quite medium, nothing too dirty. I have focused to the so called from me "microweathering"- minor scratches, spots, etc. Talking for the weathering, I'm very satisfied from the exhausts soot, I think it became is quite good. Tweener
That is incredible! I keep meaning to buy a 47, but I can never seem to find a scheme that I like enough to give it a go. Now that I see this, I am inspired, but I certainly couldn't build one to this level! This truly is 10/10. Looking forward to more, Tweener
Learstang
Brilliant job on that P-47D! That looks like it's a nice kit. Regards, Jason
Kitchen Modeller
Great job on a great model - love the painted on chequered band - looks really good (must have been difficult?) Brilliant detail especially for the scale - weathering is spot on and the chipping on the nose is very good. Panel lines are very dark but it totally works here in my opinion. This makes me want to do a P-47. Is the revell kit any good? - I was planning on doing the Tamiya P-47 but might look at Revell's as this looks so great. Josip
Must have done 3 of them and the fourth still lingers in the box. Good honest kit, but the moulds got really worn out and the canopy was never nor clean, nor thin enough. Yours is near perfect.
Terry1954
Excellent result! A very realistic finish indeed, really makes the P-47D look as mean as it should! What an entry, welcome to the forum. Terry

kapam
Hard to add anything more to the discussion - simply superb! I'm a big fan of the 1/72 Revell kit and your build shows how good it can look. Nothing spells "air superiority" like a P-47 in bright colours and some nose art to attract the eye. Also agree that Kitsworld decals are the bomb!

Smooth blended, I don't like too sharp and different metal panels.
