In the MPM catalog, we find a large panel of Meteor version .

It start with the first MkI version to the Mk8; We find speclal version like the test bed Meteor with Trent Propeller.

The kit is the basic MkI version with special parts for the proepeller and the tails

The art box is very attractive like always in the PM/Special Hobby production

The cockpit is very simple.

A dashboard and few instrument. I add the seatbelt on the seat.

Now I can start the fuselage. You need cut a tail part and remplace it with the part in the additionnal sprue.

Under the floor I add weight. I add a weight behind the seat.

I control the adjustement and see two little problem.

The engine nacel need filler and the fuselage is a little to thin

For the thicknes fuselage I add a part in its middle

I add the additionnal part on the tail but the problems start

This parts fit very badly. And worst, it is wrong.

When I see a photo of the real plane, the cone isn't as big. I cut it but the fit problem still présent.

I spent a large amount of time to try to adjust it. In the same time a create the part on the rear tail that is characteristic on this plane. I made it a little too small

The next step is the propeller.
Each propeller has 7 parts : 5 blades and 2 parts for the spinners. The blades take place in the the rear spinner part. And you must add the front spinner part after glued the blades.

But it is a wrong procedure.  I prefere to glue the spinner and add blades after. Blade must be reduce on the part that took place in the spinner

I need one hour to finish properly the 2 blades

I add the fin and discover another problem with the replace parts. They are too thin for the fin. And I must add putty again. Definitly, my advice : don't use the part for the tail and use the original fuselage without it.

Ah, so that's where the designers of the FMA IA-58 Pucara got the idea from...

His name was Kurt Tank. He used to work for Focke Wulf.....

Nice Meteor, Remi.

Nice work. How did you find the wings, on my F.8, the training edges needed a lot of thinning and the leading edges were quite blunt and needed reshaping.

On my wing I just need a little work to thin the training edge

But I encounter the same problem than you when I made the FR9 with the same wing.
