Pagey
Cracking little kit. Decided after seeing the example at Duxford, that I wanted to try and replicate the metal framework rotor holders the machine at Duxford had. Made out of brass wire and bits from the spare box. Am happy with how it came out. I also added a bit of detail to the tail fold (although trying to photograph it was very difficult. _20181018_202837 by Richard Page, on Flickr DSC_1290 by Richard Page, on Flickr _20181018_202801 by Richard Page, on Flickr _20181018_202405 by Richard Page, on Flickr _20181018_202735 by Richard Page, on Flickr _20181018_202329 by Richard Page, on Flickr _20181018_202209 by Richard Page, on Flickr _20181018_202042 by Richard Page, on Flickr _20181018_202042 by Richard Page, on Flickr _20181018_195102 by Richard Page, on Flickr _20181018_195023 by Richard Page, on FlickrDSC_1291 by Richard Page, on Flickr 35

Tiger331
Some of the nicest special schemes or commemorative markings to adorn RAF aircraft have been on rotary wing types and this Westland Seaking HAR.3 operated by 78 Sqn is a superb example. You have done a great job on this model with excellent attention to detail and an interesting display Well Done, Sir !

Birchy1964
Great job , I saw this Sea King flying over Exmouth last month whilst on holiday ,also saw a couple Aew2 baggers on their final flypast .I finished the Airfix HC4 a couple of months ago and had mixed feeling about it , cheers Birchy
loubo
You have done an excellent job there. Lovely scheme and the travel system for the rotors looks spot on to me. Quick question in regards to the rotor frame. On the real deal are the clamps that attach to the rotors got rubber feet? I ask as I would think that if they weren't the rotors would be scuffed/scratched from them. Anyway I digress. A stunning example. Well done. Abandoned Project
Very nice build, and very nice to not see a RAF Sea King looking like a minion very nice colour scheme. Edited October 19, 2018 by dadofthree
FAAMAN
Nice job Don't know about RAF practice, but when using the blade clamps in the RAN the actual clamp itself always actioned from the blade leading edge to the trailing edge as the blade's trailing edge was very fragile and prone to damage if miss handled. Pagey
Thanks for the comments guys. The rotor holders were hust bits from the spares box, so not 100% accurate to the real thing. I wanted to do the frame as it adds interest to the finished model. This is the airfix new mould

Orion
Hello Pagey, So you can see what a visit to Duxford can do with you. The model turned out fantastic. I like especially the folded rotor blades. Regards, Orion/The Netherlands.
