Indeed, here's prep for the bomb-bay Similar detail for the cockpit, bomb-aimer, radio operator, waist gunners and tail sting - this is a great value kit. This one cost me £14.25 a few years ago.
MarkSH
Brilliant collection of B-17s how do you store/display them? The mere sight of the size of my B-17 on the workbench caused SWAMBO to ask where’s that going to go?! 1

Canso65
That is a very nice collection of B-17s you have built!
theplasticsurgeon
Gun turrets under assembly. And a bit nearer to putting into fuselage. I can't get the top turret together properly with part 173. Looks like I can investigate it in slow time during the painting phase.
theplasticsurgeon
This kit has more interior than any other Fortress kit I've built - but I'm just about there. Bomb-bay and cockpit are relatively straightforward. My upper-turret had a mis-moulded part 173 that prevented good fit - fixed now. Ball-turret is more detailed that any I've seen, and mine had a mis-moulded mount - fixed with some heat attention. Waist-guns, well mine are tucked up inside, and the windows will be closed. And ammo boxes can't be seen. Same for the radio room! Seems Shamrock did have a modified nose, with a single forward firing gun - and additional reinforcements. Tail position has more obscured detail than I've ever seen. But I'm about ready to join the fuselage. Which will be done later tonight, after I've visited mum for tea.

vppelt68
At first look I thought you had insignia, walkway markings etc. applied before the paintjob, until I realized they were in your paper masks you had cut from the instructions. Excellent idea . V-P
