28ZComeback
I found this photo on eBay and can’t tell what it is: maybe a P2V, but what of those windows? Perhaps a T-29, but what of the dark paint? Can anyone identify this plane? Thank you in advance.https://www.ebay.com/itm/1953-Press-Photo-US-Navy-Lt-CM-Williams-wife-daughter-home-from-Korean-war/273201701647?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908105057%26meid%3Db5748f1360804f459746e97ada569c58%26pid%3D100675%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D15%26sd%3D273201701647%26itm%3D273201701647&_trksid=p2481888.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci%3A3b8d8312-d1ac-11e8-8055-74dbd180f24c%7Cparentrq%3A7fa546401660ac3db8c81fb0fffced51%7Ciid%3A1 Edited October 17, 2018 by 28ZComeback Aff spelling

KRK4m
Frankly speaking all early variants up to P2V-4 looked the same in this area except for the (TurboCompound) engine cowlings in -4 and underbelly radar in -3W. Actually P2V-1 was a very rare bird (only 14 have been built compared to eighty two -2s, eighty three -3s and fifty two -4s) and only P2V-2/5/6/7 are listed in the VP-29 a/c assignments.
