Jabba
Thanks for the kind words. Yes I do prefer 1/72nd as I have mainly built these throughout my life, and more so now that I do a display at many shows, although I do dabble in other scales when the need (mainly when it is for a model where the decals come from the USA). This is the model now with the darkest grey on the spine and tail. A few touch ups are required.
Jabba
After a couple of weeks break from this kit, getting another in a different GB almost finished, I have started to apply the major decals to the model. I am also going to do a bit of a compromise with this kit in that I am going to arm t as if it is at the start of OIF, but I will apply the crew names and mission total tally markings which were applied after the aircraft left the theatre of operations. Another slight problem is that neither that kit or the aftermarket decal sheet have any of the no walk and other smaller decals of this ilk, I will have to look through my other Tomcat decals to see what I can find. Jabba
All decals now applied, which is a combination of the kit and fightertowns sheet.
Jabba
Matt varnish applied, U/C fitted and some of the U/C doors. Over the past few days I have been painting and decaling the weapons, plus the ejection seats. Hopefully they will be fitted soon.
Jabba
A few more parts added. I have also painted the Nav lights, which in this kit are a little disappointing in that they are not clear plastic only markings on the parts except for the wing glove ones where there is nothing so I had to guess where they were. Slowly getting there.

Jabba
All finished now, and a really enjoyable kit to build. Hopefully I will get some more of these to do. Edited February 12, 2019 by Jabba
