Apologies for that, I hadn't used Flickr in so long I forgot what to do. It just reminds me why I don't post more stuff as it's such a nuisance compared to uploading directly on to Facebook.

Very nice, lovely subtle weathering. I've seen a few F-14's with the refueling probe door not fitted, do you know the reason why this was done?

The door is removed due to a danger of it being struck by the refuelling basket , breaking off and damaging the aircraft worst case it would go down an intake . The Iranian Air Force dispensed with the door entirely for their fleet and the USN tended to do it during combat operations .

Stunningbuild, and yet another example of why I am going to have to eventually give in to the price and get one of these kits. Definitely the "D" as you have done I think

and in addition to Stephens answer, VFA-31 also removed the refuelling door on their Super Hornets in 2008/9 (?) for their Persian Gulf deployment. Same reason I understand, the USAF KC-135 basket attachment on their refuelling hose, frequent smash, break door, ingest into engine = bad news

That is really amazing! Fantastic job. How did you like the exhausts?

Thanks, the exhausts are superb. You have to sand the rim of the kit exhaust as it has a lip that the kit nozzle fits on to but that's 5 minutes of work. The KA nozzles fit right on and have great detail, they're very easy to use.

Nice one mate! What colours did you use from Mr Paint?

Thanks, the colours are the standard TPS scheme FS35237, FS36320 and FS36375. They were all lightened by various degrees during application then I used the standard colours straight out of the bottle for the areas which would be frequently touched up such as access panels . The kit took far longer to paint than to build.
