Andrewvft
Hi all, Thought I'd share my recently completed model. First time trying out mottling and boy its a challenge. I used a variety of Gunze and Tamiya paints. I chose to paint the blue band instead of using the decal so I could have a bit of a fade effect on it. I really love the simplicity of Tamyia kits and the detail. I think their new pilot figures look really neat too. I can't wait for more BF109 variants. Hope you like the pics!
Tbolt
Great looking 109. Good first go at mottling, it might seem tricky and I struggled with my first few mottled models, but when you get the painted thinned just right it starts becomes that much easier. Don't get me wrong it still takes a lot of skill and I'm not that great at it yet, though I'm just about to try a 1/72 109. Corsairfoxfouruncle
Excellent Messerschmitt ... I agree about the Mottling. I'm about to start either a Fw-190D or an He-219. I guess that Im definitely going to be getting some practice. Edited October 15, 2018 by Corsairfoxfouruncle
