Help about 'towel-rail' aerials on Beaufighter IF

I am in the process of building four Tamiya 1:48 Beaufighters - Mk.IF; Mk.IIF (using CMK conversion); Mk.VIc; TF.X.

The Mk.IF I want to build as John Cunningham's R-for-Robert, which from the attached photograph (courtesy of the internet) has a 'towel-rail' aerial under the fuselage - not supplied in the Tamiya kit. I am reasonable confident in the placing of this fore and aft, but I am not sure where it should be located laterally and am unable to find any drawings showing this. I assume that it is probably along the centreline, but cannot ignore the possibility that it might have been offset to one side?

Can anyone help with this?
