Bughunter
Siemens-Schuckert D.III With the pictures of the finished biplane a project ends, which I started in Jan 2016. So this is model number 5 of the actual year. The biplane is a Siemens-Schuckert D.III, as flown by Ltn. Heinrich Dembowsky 1918, with a rotary engine Siemens-Halske Sh.III. The kit was Eduard Profipack in 1/48, also the engine is a Brassin-kit of Eduard. The Spandau-MGs are Master, Aviattic decals are used for lozenge and the turnbuckles are Gaspatch. The 4-blade air screw is hand crafted. As usual I have used paints of Alclad, Gunze and oils. The build was fun, because is is really a great kit with good fit. Enough text, I assume you want to see pics: It was not that easy, to take good pictures of that "Black beauty" And again a nice piece of history for my collection! The unpainted wood: Eduard resin engine and valve push rods from Small Stuff Eduard resin + Master barrel/jackets The lozenge decals looks like fabric A trained spider is a big help! So rigging between wings was done quickly. Cheers, Frank 4

Greg Law
Can I borrow your spider? Sounds much more helpful then mine. Mine was a big 'White tail' which bit me last year. I'm sure it was responsible for hiding my Stuka canopy. Anyway it had another attempt at making my day last week. However, I won this time. I found the body lying next to my missing Stuka canopy. I can tell you, you don't want to be bitten by one of those spiders. I could have used your helpful chap the last two days when I was trying to attach a double cable on my latest project. It took two days of modelling time to get this cable attached and only fifteen minutes to do the rest. Almost drove me around the bend. Still it is done now.

My foot swelled up and after a few weeks the skin blistered off. It was like having a painful itchy Mossie bit for weeks. I was lucky because some people can end up in hospital. Fortunately they don't kill.
