Kingsman
I've been blogging this build over on the WIP forum here. But now I'm calling it "done" - except that I think another flat coat might be called-for as I haven't managed to get rid of the sheen on some of the stowage items. All comments, good, bad and ugly appreciated. Edited October 11, 2018 by Das Abteilung picture resize
Kingsman
A quick blast of the ever-faithful Testors Dullcote did indeed solve the sheen problem. Note To Self: Mr Color rattle can flat coat clearly (pardon the pun!) isn't as flat as they like to think it is.
Buzby061
Nicely painted, detailed & stowed. Never seen a pitchfork on a tank before. Are the crew extras in a Hammer Horror movie?
Kingsman
I admit a pitchfork is a bit random. I was looking for a couple of tools of vintage design. Tool shapes have changed over time. I found it in among some other Historex bits and pieces along with the hand axe and shovel you can hardly see. The crew found it and kept it in case it was useful. Hammer House of Horrors was definitely the earlier version with the front fuel tanks and no applique armour. The crews called them mobile crematoria. Not that the applique made much difference, but the rear fuel tanks were an improvement - but let's not mention running the hot exhaust pipe up the outside of one........ At least if they caught fire it was on the outside of the hull and you could get out of the top hatches, the back door area probably being a little toasty. Get shot or be toasted: decisions, decisions...............
Bullbasket
Very nice Peter. Not a cammo scheme that you see every day of the week. John.
