Jonners
Hi folks, I have spent far too long in making this, as has been documented in the WiP section here: The model is actually representative of a Bison II, as I discovered after starting the WiP thread; it is intended to show an aircraft of 423 Flt aboard HMS Hermes in 1926, seen in this photo: Please forgive the basic nature of the model: it was intended to be enjoyable rather than frustrating, so detail is lacking (and probably accuracy too!). Anyway, some pics: I did add some detail inside the cabin, but I don't really know why I went to the trouble as it can't be seen in this scale! ...and a final slightly blurred (sorry) pic to illustrate the size: Constructive criticism welcomed! (And expected...) Jon Edited October 10, 2018 by Jonners
Pete in Lincs
Not from me it won't be. I didn't even know this thing existed. So the fact that you've built one is to be applauded. In the finest traditions of certain Naval Aircraft, it's not pretty is it? But, it was designed for a purpose, and it is to be hoped that in worked in that role. Well done, Sir! Now, climb in the back for once around the harbour.
Buzby061
Fabulous work. I am a volunteer at the Avro Heritage Museum at Woodford & we have a large scale model of one. I shudder every time I go past it. Pete 1
Britman
Fantastic job Jonners. It's a fine example of a most fascinating period for naval aviation. Thank you for sharing you work. Keith.
cngaero
That's a beautiful model of a less than beautiful aeroplane. I certainly raise my hat to you for scratch building the Bison in the first place, but to do so in 1/44 scale, that's just amazing.
