Red Dot
hi all, I'm sure that there was a decal sheet for the round black/white quartered markings that you see on trials aircraft. The markings are used to check for spinning or tumbling when a weapon is released but i don't know the correct name. Anyone got any idea which company produced the decals please? bhouse
They are sometimes referred to as "roll patterns" - although that may apply just to the black/white stripes seen on rockets. I did need some of the circular ones once but painted them on with self-made masks.
Graham Boak
They are also used on aircraft to provide a clear measuring point for analysis of take-off and landing performance using theodolites.

BritJet
The only ones I remember were by Fineline, but I think they are long gone now. https://modelingmadness.com/scott/decals/fineline/sbd001.htm https://modelingmadness.com/scott/decals/fineline/sbd002.htm edit: Hannants have some - https://www.hannants.co.uk/search/index.php?product_category_id=&product_division_id=&manufacturer_id=8011&code=&product_type_id=&scale_id=&keyword_search=&setPerPage=25&currency_id= Steve
