The_Lancaster
I think this is a wise choice for Airfix, the pre-production shots are excellent, and if it’s anything like the ’Tiffie it’s going to fly off the shelves!

cngaero
A brand new 1/24th scale F6F-5 Hellcat has just been announced on Twitter. That should be popular and with 600 parts, it looks very nice indeed.

fightersweep
There's so many marking options, I wouldn't know what to pick! A French one appeals though.
dragonlanceHR
I was hoping it was a joke. Oh well, hope they last until the 1/48 Spitfire XIVe release... Vedran
Jazzie
Im a mainly served with Britain 1/72 builder who jumps to 1/48th for kits i really want. I really wanted but didnt get a 1/24th Typhoon because i didnt have spare cash at the time, so will i be getting a Hellcat now? You better believe it! Arabest, Geoff. TEXANTOMCAT
By the time Jadlam and co (other model companies are available) it will almost certainly be just sub £
noelh
I'll admit surprise and I would have preferred a Corsair but I do like the Hellcat and I suspect one will end up in my unbuilt stash. A good choice I think.
k5054nz
When I saw the photo in the email linking to Workbench I thought it was 1/48! Not for me, and a bit disappointing, but I'll be interested to see others' builds and I hope it does well for them.
GrahamS
So it looks like I’m going to have to wait another year for my 1/24th TSR2 with full weapons load. Ah well..... ☹️☹️☹️ Graham ps could possibly be tempted with this though.
fightersweep
So when will the discussions and red lines begin about the kit's "Hellcat Smile" over on H********E? 3
Rabbit Leader
And true to form, the Airfix Workbench blogger used up approx 650 words before he could say the word Hellcat! 4
rafalbert
Anything above 1/72 is not really my thing, but I am aware that a lot of people love them. This should sell well, especially across the pond (as others have said), bringing in more funds for 1/72 tools. Nicely done Airfix! 😁

593jones
Should sell well in the US, so probably a good move by Airfix, but where is the Defiant???? (No, I won't be buying a Hellcat, even in FAA markings, grump, grump).
The Tomohawk Kid
A definate attempt to tap into the US market. Tommo.

Sundowner14
Well, for a company to survive they have to have a global market. This will sell globally and whilst there will be some jingoistic handwringing that it’s not one of our own, I think it will be a good seller for Airfix. If that means they stay viable and can undertake other projects in time, I’m all for it.
