DCS World - the Tomcat is here!

There was a point in the video I genuinely expected them to say they'd modelled airframe/engine/system wear and ageing. That's A2A levels of quality right there.

I only just got their F/A-18 and it's taken me a week to get good at landing on the carrier - and that's a plane with more modern fly-by-wire controls. So goodness knows how difficult the F-14 must be. I hear that they have even modelled the longitudinal "wobble" (excessive yawing) into this Sim model.........

And that I can't find ANY YouTube vids yet of the armchair experts showing "how easy" it is to fly tells me hat she must be a real challenge :)

I've been dabbling with the Hornet a little and it feels very...old-school twitchy :D But at least that makes the carrier landings more satisfying to achieve!

TBH what impresses me most about the F-18 as modelled are the tyre bulges!
