Shelliecool
Ready for your inspection is my 1:72 Revell B-17G Flying Fortress. This is a straight from the box build, competed in the colours of 'Little Miss Mischief'. It has been pretty straight forward with little drama really (which is always a bonus!) The kit went together well, and it didn't take too long to get on to painting the exterior. As the real aircraft was crashed and patched up several times, so the kit's paintwork reflects real life (with bare metal front and wings and camo tail section. The challenge came with masking, airbrushing, masking and airbrushing to get the desired effects. That said I am really pleased with the way she has turned out. A fab kit to work on and a fantastic aircraft icon. 46
Uncle Pete
Nice. I like the patchiness, as if they had to keep blagging bits from other planes.

Vinnie
Very nice, Michelle. I keep getting mine out, but I look at the painting required and put it away, hands trembling.

I did think the same to start with, but once you start it's not as bad as you may think......you just need lots of tape!😂 Thanks, Michelle

Tentacles
Lovely build. One of the first 3-4 kits I made after coming back to the hobby. Nice kit, that will give even a ten-thumbed duffer like me a decent result. Painting is nowhere near as hard as it looks, Provided you invest a couple of evenings' chin-stroking working out how to best mask & paint it. Revell give you quite a lot of internal detail, but TBH if I was to do this again I'd probably skip a lot of it as it's invisible once you close it up.

dnl42
Wow, that's most excellent work. While masking may have been a challenge, the results were clearly worth the effort.
