Dads203
Cheers Tim, cracking on with it mate Just been working on the sponsons, adding the NVG lights to each side and the cabling, I'll add the retaining straps from lead foil later. The wires are 0.3 lead wire. Some super detailing yet to the main undercarriage units provided by Eduard and few bits of plastic stock. Cheers for looking in Dan

Dads203
Filled in the two square cut outs ready for the mesh to go on next to main rotor hub. Fuselage strake has been cut down as the moulded kit part is at the wrong angle, a touch of filler added to the slight damage caused by the removal. this will get knocked back to the fuselage profile once dry. Still a boatload of detail to add yet but the main cockpit IP is now painted and I'll get adding the PE instruments, stay tuned. Dan
Dads203
And the IP going together. It will get a blast of flat varnish and the dials picked out with some Micro Kristal Klear Dan

Dads203
Cheers Chaps, Just correcting the fuselage strake, again plastic card, much better than the kit bit Its drying at the moment so it will require a bit of blending in but nothing too serious. Orion
Hello 203, Thanks for sharing your WIP with us. You put a lot of changes into this model. Would you be so kind to explain to me (us) the extra sets that you are using on this Airfix Model. (Resin Kit-Eduard and so on) Thanks. Regards, Orion. No problem, Eduard PE set 72617 Sea King HC 4 Exterior (you need this set for the main cabin step, the other sets don’t give the commando step ) Eduard PE set 72636 Sea King HAR 3 Interior set Reskit RS72-0072 Sea King wheel set Revell Westland Sea King Orange crop and large dorsal radome ( Borrowed from the kit ) Xtradecal X722303 decals ( 771 Sqn RN) Model Art 72/067 Sea King HU5 Various plastic card and rod Green stuff Epoxy putty 0.2 carbon rod 0.2 and 0.3 lead wire Here is one I did last year 🙂 https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235023572-westland-sea-king-hu5/ Everybody raves about the Revell kit but I personally prefer the Airfix kit as I think the shape is better and it doesn't have undersized sponsons Yeah it doesn't have loads of rivets but the Revell kit but it will have a load wiped out during assembly which would be incredibly difficult to reinstate to an acceptable level. Dads203
Creating the bubble window for the observer, quite easy, just cut the bubble off the rear cabin window and glue it to the correct forward cabin window. They will get a good polish up. Dan
