FAA and counter shading ???

Hello Dears,

I'm a bit lost since I saw the 2 possiblities...

So, the darker paint is on the lower wing ?? or is this the lighter one ??

As the lower wing is shadowed by the upper wing it seem logical IMHO to have the lighter painting on the lower wing !

But I'm not sure now !!

As soon as I have an answer, I chisel it in the marble, because my white rabbit memory is pretty annoying !

I saw the answer to this question somewhere... But where ???

I will not mess up my Dear Walrus !

So I thank you beforehand for your help.

Sincerely.

Yup lower wing to counteract the shading created by the upper wing.  What date is your Walrus going to be because I think that the FAA dropped countershading at some point (though I would have to check my references)?

It will be a late refurbished Shagbat used down Under !!

Once again, a Strange paint scheme, you know that I love that !!

will be as weird as my Mustang was :evil_laugh:

She will wear the early FAA schem but modified a bit, so faded countershading with some RAAF azure blue…. And some Barley grey parts !!

Thank for the offer Grey !

Sincerely.
