Mark22
Hello All, As this is my first post on Britmodeller, I thought I'd start with something British. This is my recent build of Airfix's 1/72 Lightning F.2A. Painted with Tamiya colors and mounted on an Airfix display stand. Cheers, Mark 39

delticfan
Nice, the F2 is often overlooked.
Courageous
Looks rather neat, especially with 'wheels up', @CedB would be pleased. Where's the pilot ? Stuart
cybershed
There are some planes/models that really look their best with a wheels up 'in-flight' configuration. IMO, the EE Lightning is definitely one of them. A great model Mark. And great choice of subject. Welcome to BM. It's interesting how the popularity of the Lightning has endured for so long after it stopped ripping up the sky for real. There are not even any restored Lightnings allowed to wake up the crowds at airshows. More's the pity. How I miss them.

stevehnz
Nicely done indeed, I really like the finish you've got on that, just the right amount if sheen to my eye, it sets things off well. Steve.

Stuart The pilot is actually in there, but the thick canopy and light reflection makes him hard to see. Thanks everyone for your comments. Kitchen Modeller
Very nice indeed - well done - apparently Airfix don't make these stands anymore - I was unable to source any the last time I checked...
