Nanond
Hello! I've recently joined britmodeller and posted some of my aircraft models. I also do ship models and this is what I've been working on. It's Flyhawk's boxing of ICM SMS König. It comes fully supplied with PE, turned brass barrels and wooden deck. The wooden deck wasn't used for I felt it was out of scale. It would be difficult to fit nicely anyhow. These images are from when I started in April until yesterday. Nanond

thorfinn
Very fine work on what must certainly be my all-time favorite WW1 vessel...and one that I never expected to see released as a commercial-production kit! (Much less in two separate scales. ) Welcome to Britmodeller, and please do keep sharing your work! Cheers
TallBlondJohn
Very nice - and quite right about the deck, it may look sweet but as you say its way out of scale in 1/700 and is more of a fashion statement!

Thom216
Great work on that! Nice on the PE and the paint is just drawing it all together.
Nanond
Thanks all! Here are more progress shots I made in the last few weeks. The last two of the ship's boats were done. Fixed the anchor chain And move on to rigging. The Uschi's rigging thread is very easy to work with. Next update should see it completed, well ahead of the planned 11/11/2018.
