Serge Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 (edited) Hi Everyone. I have just finished my OOB build of 1/48 Hasegawa Mitsubishi J2M3 Raiden, (Serial No. 3008), captured on the emergency airstrip at Dewey Boulevard, Manila in the Philippines. Hope you enjoy the pic`s, thanks for looking Cheers Edited October 1, 2018 by Serge 32 5
stevej60 Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 Superb build and finish Serge, and great to see that scheme presented too.
David H Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 Wow. That is just brilliant. IMHO, the "Jack" looks better in Bare Metal than in IJN Dark Green. The US air intel markings give it a decidedly American look to it. Reminds me of Curtiss' designs after the P-40. A Splendid looking model. -d-
Spitfire31 Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 What a great example of shrunk reality! The subtle but very realistic weathering makes it look just 'right'. Superb modelling. Kind regards, Joachim
WildeSau75 Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 Where are my sunglasses?! 😉 top notch build and great photography. Like it a lot. Cheers, Michael
russ c Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 Really nice Raiden there and fantastic MNF, great job
Josip Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 A truly fine example! I couldn't do it any better. Was the spinner really black?
Twentecable Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 Very, very nice! Love the bare metal finish on this one! Gr TC
colin Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 Beautiful Raiden and the nmf is one of the best I've seen
72modeler Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 Boy, oh boy, oh boy- do I like this build! Very, very reaslistic bare metal finish; nice to see a Raiden in something other than the same old IJA colors and markings. Mike

This is an outstanding model. Congrats. Ben
Vinnie Posted October 2, 2018 Posted October 2, 2018 Very nice finish, Serge and strangely, the US scheme seems to suit it better than the Japanese.
