Really nice build and finish John. Did you have build plans, drawings for the scratch work.......or just from photos. If so, it makes it all the more impressive 👍

Regards.

Simon

Hi Simon, and thanks. No, I'm afraid that my skills are not that good. What started me off was a set of 1/35th scale drawings in the Tankette magazine from several years back. Then a couple of months ago, I managed to get hold of a copy of the Mouse House book on Israeli Improvised Armoured Cars. It's full of photos and drawings of all sorts of oddities that the Israelis came up with in the late 40's from a/c' based on jeeps, right up to some based on GMC 2.5 tonners. There were five (I think) based on the M3A1 Scout Car, so expect to see some more from me in the future, only next time, I'll use the Hobbyboss kit.

Nice one, for headlight I am using Vallejo Still Water. But sometimes it creare sort of a pothole in the middle. Have to apply with thin layers.

Excellent job John, I love it

Thanks very much, both of you. I should have stuck with my usual method for the headlight..........Little Cars lenses.

Suberb scratchbuilding John. Very inspiring.

Kudos on  the painting.

Many thanks Vaastav. It was a very enjoyable build. So much so that I intend doing another later this year, only this time a Type 2 or 3.
