Tbolt
If all that pipework is plastic it's going to be hard work to clean it all up without breaking anything, but should look amazing when done.

Would be way worst if in 1/48. When building the ZM 1/48 Horten, I had to be extremely careful when cutting from sprues and cleaning all the engine and wings tanks pipework.Should be thick enough in 1/32.

Hope more manufacturers take up these subjects.
salomon
3D software used layers for modelling, just imagine the pilot body is a 3D mesh of the first layer, and arms on the second layer and the thumbs up arm on the third layer, and the 3D preview has multiple layers acitivated. SAT69
That's a lot of very fragile looking pieces on some of those sprues. On the other hand, the molding appears to be quite clean. Over all it looks very impressive.

They are well worth the investment because if you plan your cuts you won't get parts breakage. This kit will be very very expensive!

Jamie @ Sovereign Hobbies
The kit looks great. Hopefully the camouflage painting guide is right too and we can slowly start to break down this myth of them being painted light grey underneath. One can but hope! Bozothenutter
Nice! They should have added a unskinned version. Think of it, all that detail, combined with a body comprised of ribs etc....

Think of it, all that detail, combined with a body comprised of ribs etc.... These must be one of the worst types of kits in terms of bought:built ratio. You never see them built but they do turn up often in 2nd hand sales at shows. Whilst I like the idea of this P-40B, I wouldn't bother with all that work around the engine in honesty - I'd just close it all up so it looks like an aeroplane. I'd personally have preferred it if they didn't spend so much money designing and tooling all those parts and just sold the kit a bit cheaper.
